      Air Combat Command recently hosted its 2024 Fall Conference at JBLE, featuring the first-ever “Cutting the Red Tape Forum.”

Dave Wolfe, ACC command chief, chair the "Cutting the Red Tape Forum" during the ACC Fall Conference at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, recently.       In a push to build interoperability for the Great Power Competition, the Air Force Combat Ammunition Center (AFCOMAC) opened its trainings up to other U.S. branches and Allied partners. The SOO course is designed to provide senior leadership with training on mass munitions planning and production. Recently, the first Royal Canadian Air Force and the first British Royal Air Force participants joined the program.

    • New reef project at Tyndall AFB aims to protect against storms

      On October 21, 2024, a groundbreaking project began at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, to build a special kind of oyster reef that could protect the base from future storms. This new reef, which combines both man-made materials and living oysters, is part of an innovative effort funded by the U.S. Department of Defense's Reef Defense program.
